About Frederick
After nearly 30 years as a research scientist, my right brain has has finally shown up. After buying my wife an Olympus digital camera for Christmas about four years ago (and then commandeering it), I really got into the technical aspects of digital photography (left brain). However, after hours and hours of shooting test photographs for the right exposure and focus I suddenly found myself hooked on this new "viewfinder" view of the world. Common and fleeting moments suddenly were not so common and the time it took to frame and plan the right shot slowed me down and brought a new appreciation of all of God's Creation. Now, my wife and I have 2 types of walks, the PowerWalk for our physical conditioning and the CameraWalk, for our spiritual conditioning. I'm excited to have found this site where I can share in the special moments captured in time by so many talented photographers.
